Sacagawea Dollar Reverse

The image of the soaring bald eagle was designed by Thomas D. Rodgers. This was used for the Sacagawea Dollars issued from 2000 to 2008. The series started with high mintages, but eventually was only minted for collectors. After 2009, the reverse design was replaced by annually rotating designs from a variety of artists.
