The First Lady during the 19th Presidency was honored with the issuance of this one-half ounce 24 karat gold coin. The Lucy Hayes First Spouse Gold Coin features a portrait designed by Susan Gamble and sculpted by Don Everhart. The inscriptions indicate the name, order of the Presidency, years of the term, “In God We Trust”, “Liberty”, and the date or mintage.
