2011-W Lucy Hayes First Spouse Gold Coin Reverse

The First Lady Lucy Hayes cheers on two children as they participate in the first Easter egg roll held on the grounds of the White House. This is the design that graces the reverse of the First Spouse Gold Coins issued by the United States Mint in her honor.

Barbara Fox is responsible for the design, which was executed by Joseph Menna. The inscriptions include “United States of America”, “E Pluribus Unum”, and an indication of the legal tender face value and gold content and purity.
