Julia Grant was the wife of Civil War hero and American President Ulysses S. Grant. She served as the First Lady from 1869 to 1877, during the 18th Presidency. The obverse of this coin featuring her portrait was designed by Donna Weaver and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso.
