2011-W Julia Grant Gold Coin Reverse

The reverse design for the one-half ounce 24 karat Julia Grant First Spouse Gold Coin features a scene from the youth of the future First Lady. She is depicted riding horseback with Ulysses S. Grant, who at the time was a West Point cadet. The two are pictured at Julia Dent Grant’s family plantation White Haven.

The designed is by Richard Masters and sculpted by Charles L. Vickers.
