2011-W Eliza Johnson First Spouse Gold Coin Obverse

The United States Mint produces a series of one half ounce 24 karat gold coins featuring the spouses of the former Presidents. The Eliza Johnson First Spouse Gold Coin honors the First Lady during the 17th Presidency. She filled the capacity when her husband was in office from 1865 to 1869.

The obverse of the coin was designed by Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by Don Everhart.
