2009 UHR Double Eagle Reverse

To the delight of collectors, the United States produced the Ultra High Relief Double Eagle as the artist had originally intended. The coin was released in 2009 and had a final mintage of 115,178 pieces.

The reverse design features a young eagle flying during a sunrise is depicted on the reverse. The motto, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is on the edge of the coin, allowing a cleaner design on the obverse and reverse.
