2008-W Uncirculated American Buffalo Gold Coin

The United States Mint expanded their collectible offerings for the American Gold Buffalo. This included the introduction of a collectible uncirculated version struck on burnished blanks in four different sizes, one ounce, one-half ounce, one-quarter ounce, and one-tenth ounce. The coins ended up with surprisingly low mintages and became secondary market winners.
