2008-W Burnished American Gold Eagle

The United States Mint first issued the collectible uncirculated version of the American Gold Eagle in 2006. These coins were struck on specially burnished blanks and carried the “W” mint mark on the obverse. Issuance took place from 2006 to 2008, with future collectible uncirculated Gold Eagles remaining uncertain due to elevated bullion demand.
