2007-W Uncirculated Gold Eagle

In the previous year, the US Mint had introduced a new collectible version of the Gold Eagle. These coins were struck on specially burnished blanks and carried the “W” mint mark. Coins were sold at premium prices directly by the US Mint and ended up with substantially lower mintages.
