2005 “Ocean in View” Jefferson Nickel

The final of four reverse designs created for the Westward Journey Nickels. This commemorated the Lewis and Clark expedition reaching the Pacific Ocean after a journey through the new territory. Inscriptions are from journal entries of Clark reading “Ocean in view! O! The joy!”
