2005 Jefferson Nickel obverse

The obverse design created for the second year of the Westward Journey series. This is a portrait of Thomas Jefferson designed by Joe Fitzgerald based on a marble bust by Jean-Anoine Houdon. The design was used for Jefferson Nickels for only one year, before a second obverse took its place.
