1928-S Silver Dollar Obverse

The Peace Dollars represented the last silver dollars minted for regular circulation. The series includes several condition rarities, which make the series extremely difficult to complete in gem. The 1928-S Peace Dollar had a mintage of 1,632,000, higher the well known key date from Philadelphia in the same year. However, in gem grades, the San Francisco issue is considerably more difficult to find and drives a big premium.
