1895 Liberty Nickel Obverse

The second design for the non-silver five cent denomination was known as the Liberty Nickel. The series was produced from 1883 to 1912, with a few mysterious pieces dated 1913. The obverse designed by Charles Barber features the head of Liberty wearing a crown and agricultural elements in her hair. There are thirteen stars surrounding the image.
